After teaming up with New Jersey's Young Rising Sons this summer, Hunter Hunted has scheduled a series of acoustic shows, writing via Facebook: "We're excited to announce #ReadyForYouAcoustic, a little California run with intimate shows and a special Hunter Hunted and Friends night in LA!" The special 18+ L.A. show, in support of Ready for You, will take place at Club Bahia on Thursday, November 19.
As announced earlier, Paul Weller has two shows at the Fonda Theatre on Wednesday, October 7, and Thursday, October 8, as well as a show at the Fox Pomona on Friday, October 9, in support of his new solo album Saturns Pattern. In support of new album Tangle of Time, Animal Liberation Orchestra has announced an upcoming tour, writing via Facebook: "We just announced our dates for TDAX! It's hard to believe that next February will mark 10 years of ALO's Tour d'Amour. We're celebrating a decade of love, so stay tuned for some awesome surprises." This upcoming tour will include an all-ages show at Teragram Ballroom on Friday, February 12.
Stagecoach has finally revealed its lineup for 2016! The 10th anniversary edition of the Indio, Calif., festival will be held at the Empire Polo Club from Friday, April 29, 2016, to Sunday, May 1, 2016. The festival will feature headlining sets by Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan, as well as performances by The Band Perry, The Doobie Brothers, John Fogerty, Emmylou Harris, Sam Hunt, Jamestown Revival, Little Big Town, Langhorne Slim and the Law, Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear, A Thousand Horses, Chris Young, and many more.
One act whose return we've been looking forward to is Jamie XX! If you didn't see him at the Echoplex on July 28, he has scheduled two dates at the Shrine Expo Hall on Sunday, October 11, for those 18 and over, and an all-ages set on Monday, October 12, with opener DJ Harvey. We're ready to kick off the first full week of "Rocktober," Scenestar readers. This time, for our Show of the Night title, it's up-and-coming act Oh Wonder! The London-based pop duo Anthony and Josephine, AKA Oh Wonder, will headline an all-ages show at the Troubadour tonight in support of their debut self-titled release. Oh Wonder also has a show at The Echo on Tuesday, October 6.
If you can't get in to our Show of the Night, your other music options include performances by Ariel Pink, Duran Duran (signing), Joe Jackson, Kid Cadaver, Kim and the Created, Gordon Lightfoot, Their Wedding, The Tragically Hip, VAMPS, Satchmode, Scott Weiland, and many more.
