Coachella Announces 2014 Festival Dates

It's time to start planning for next year's Coachella, Scenestar readers! Last week Goldenvoice posted on Coachella's Facebook and Twitter the message: "MONDAY 10AM PST." And now we know what it means; Coachella 2014 dates have been released. Weekend 1 will take place on Friday, April 11, to Sunday, April 13. Weekend 2 will be held Friday, April 18, to Sunday, April 20.

Inaugural First City Festival Releases Lineup

Goldenvoice will kick off a new festival this summer in Northern California! Taking place at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center, the First City Festival will be held Saturday, August 24, and Sunday, August 25. British act Palma Violets has released a new music video for "Best of Friends," a track from debut album 180, which is out now via Rough Trade. The music video features the band performing to an unenthusiastic audience and running around city streets.

First Annual OC Weekly Summer Fest In June

This summer OC Weekly will host its first annual Summer Fest at Newport Dunes in Newport Beach on Sunday, June 9, to celebrate the OC Weekly's Summer Guide Special Issue, which is out Thursday, June 6. Southern California locals The Colorist are scheduled to perform, along with The Field Trip, Douglas and the Furs, MT. OSSA, Eastern Conference Champions, and Thee Raincats.

Tickets for the 21+ festival are on sale now via Ticketfly for $10.00 each plus service fees. VIP tickets are also available for $50.00 each plus service fees. VIP includes early entry (at 11:00 a.m. instead of 12:00 p.m.) to enjoy the food trucks and drink tastings as well as a complimentary Mimosa toast.
